Vice President and Comptroller
John Morrow is the Vice President and Comptroller for Empire Company limited.
Prior to joining Empire, Mr. Morrow worked for H.R.Doane & Company (now Grant Thornton LLP). Mr. Morrow joined Empire in 1983, working various progressive jobs including the VP of Finance and CFO for Atlantic Shopping Centers before getting promoted to Vice President and Comptroller with Empire Company in 2001.
Mr. Morrow graduated from Dalhousie University in 1974 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and earned his C.A. designation in 1976.
Mr. Morrow has been very involved with the community over the years. He was a Past President & Treasurer of the Pictou County YMCA (served for 10 years). Currently, Mr. Morrow is the Treasurer of the Aberdeen Hospital Foundation, treasurer of the Sobeys Slam, and sits on the Advisory Board of Wearwell Garments Inc.
